Spark Good Facility Giving
Walmart believes that strengthening local communities creates value for business as well as society. That’s why we empower each Walmart store, Sam’s Club and distribution center to strengthen and support local communities through local donations, fundraising outside of facilities and participation in corporate cause-marketing campaigns.
Each year, our U.S. stores and clubs award Spark Good Local Grants ranging from $250 to $5000. Spark Good local grants are designed to address the unique needs of the communities where we operate. They include a variety of organizations, such as animal shelters, elder services, and community clean-up projects. In FY2023, our stores and clubs provided more than $45 million in local grants.
Guidelines
Spark Good local grants are awarded through an open application process to eligible organizations and provide funding directly from Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities to local organizations in the U.S. The 2024 grant cycle begins March 1, 2024, and applications will be accepted on a quarterly basis. Don’t know how to determine your local facility? Don’t worry, the application will assist you.

The Spark Good Space Request tool allows local organizations to request space outside of Walmart stores and Neighborhood Markets to fundraise or drive awareness. For Sam’s Club requests, please contact the local club manager to request the use of space.
Guidelines
Deed verified and non-verified organizations may request to use the space in front of Walmart facilities. Store managers reserve the right to decline an organization’s request based on review of the organization’s activities and its agreement to comply with applicable terms and conditions.
