Like a wedding or a baby registry, the Spark Good Registry allows verified organizations to create lists of needed products, including gift cards, and to share those lists with their donors. Walmart ships items purchased through an organization’s registry directly to the organization reducing friction from setting up collection sites and retrieving donations. Organizations can create virtual events, like a coat or canned-food drive, and share the registry through their social media channels or donor newsletters.
Note: Examples of tax statuses that are NOT eligible include: 501(c)(19), 501(c)(4), 501(c)(6), 509(a)(3) (Types I, II, and III), and U.S. government entities not found in the IRS business master file.
In addition to the eligibility requirements listed, above, Walmart occasionally screens for other conduct or activities that can reasonably be considered materially damaging to the business or reputation that may result in some organizations or individuals to be excluded from eligibility at any time without notice. This may include any conduct that insults, shocks, or offends the community or any segment of it. Walmart reserves the right to refuse services or funding to organizations that do not meet the verification, program eligibility and/or reputational requirements; exclusions may include organizations that deny service, membership, or other involvement on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, veteran, disability status, or acts that can be considered an offense or violation under applicable law.
